Honestly, I feel like Marinette’s character really should’ve had more development by now 😭 like we’ve seen her have a crush on Adrien since the beginning, and now that they’re finally together, I still feel like she acts the exact same way. And I’m sorry, but sometimes her behavior is just too much 😭 like when it comes to Adrien especially, she gets SO emotional and ends up making everything messy instead of actually helping. What confuses me is how everyone in the show always acts like Marinette is this super nice, perfect person when honestly… she can be really rude and inconsiderate sometimes. Like with Sabrina recently, Sabrina literally helped her in the morning and Marinette still treated her badly later on 😭 at least show some kindness back?? And then in the end Marinette is always the one portrayed as the “good person” after just saying “I’m sorry” every time. Like no 😭 there are genuinely kinder and more mature characters in the show. And unpopular opinion maybe, but Marinette honestly gives obsessive/stalker girlfriend vibes sometimes 💀 like if a person acted like that in real life, people would NOT find it cute. The show tries to make it seem funny or lovable, but realistically it would be really uncomfortable. That’s why I actually prefer Marinette as Ladybug more, because Ladybug is serious, smart, and focused. But Marinette herself can be so nosy and overdramatic sometimes, especially whenever Adrien is involved 😭 Honestly characters like Luka, Zoey, Adrien, Sublime and some others deserve way more appreciation because they genuinely feel kinder and emotionally healthier than Marinette. I just wish the writers would let Marinette grow properly instead of repeating the same behavior every season because this season was literally the perfect chance for character development 🥲
