However, when we look behind the scenes, at how the system works, the situation is somewhat different. In France, there's a deeply rooted and institutionalized structure of elitism and favoritism that isn't visible from the outside.

its getting silly now. well its always been silly but still.

From what I know, in France they can't just show favoritism like that. Could someone French enlighten me? I know the French people as a conscious nation that stood up for their rights after the Revolution. And that's the impression I get from social media, apart from cartoons, but I can't know for sure without experiencing it. Thanks for your feedback :D
